Woohoo!  First Youtuber to react to Neofeud!  And he picked up on the H.R. Giger influence as well!   EDIT: So Kathy Rain was great but moves at a pretty glacial pace (relative to action gam

On a random note, if any of you were ever interesting in trying Dirt Rally out, it's free to play this weekend! And on sale for $18 since Dirt 4 comes out next month.   I just played all the

Has anyone signed up for Mez's beta? it's called All the Delicate Duplicates.

I have been tracking mineral prices in Eve for the last couple of weeks.  The large Goonswarm alliance declared war on the rest of the game a few weeks ago and their campaigns have decimated the industrial base of a large section of the game, throwing markets into disarray. I should profit quite well from this when all is said and done, I am just hoping that my little corner of space escapes their notice.

oh hey, I never realised we have an EvE player here besides myself :D I'm a couple years out of action though, what with little kids and stuff, so temporarily a "console peon" (PS4), so my EvE life is in stasis. But my original corporation in that game gave rise to a bunch of friendships which has grown into a kind of multigame clan thing, and we are everywhere, from Destiny2 to The Division (2) to Warframe, sort of of a little bitter vet association :)

I’ve only watched ten minutes of ‘Cloud Punk’ but it is obvious to me the potential of its DLC:  Cross the theme with anything ‘Pet Care/Sitting’ and $$$.  The ‘Animal Crossing’ crowd can’t get enough, and this direction would work great, but if you wanted to get your ‘edge’ on, you could go to the lucrative industry of ‘Pet Health Insurance’, maybe even ‘Pet Black Clinics’, where your loved, beautiful, and awesome pet could get that kidney.  Anyway, I think I’ll check ‘Cloud Punk’ out.

I was expecting to spend most of the lockdown playing games, but I have been reading books instead. And in the same way most books I read are reread, I have also spent quite some time replaying games, mainly great space sandbox games (Obvious, in lockdown). Fallout 4, Skyrim... The only game I have finished is also an open sandbox game, but isometric, Seven. Quite good once you get used to the interface and the limitations of the viewing area. A master thief gets possessed by a demon (an AI from the past) and gets tied up in the search for what is functionally a Fallout vault. Not much dialogue or people interaction, and lots of skulking and backstabbing, but a nice difficulty ramp and a small independent gem.

Waiting for the yet delayed Cyberpunk, from CD Projekt Red, but I am underwhelmed by most of the games I have tried lately.

Finally sat down and finished Life is Strange. Hol-eeeeeee shit! o_O

For those that haven't played it, it's worth the time. It's like Twin Peaks meets Twelve Monkeys meets Silence of the Lambs or something. Anyway, it crosses genres left right and center and makes it all work. And it's a story that's completely driven by your choices as a character!

Anyone else play it? Which final choice did you make? I was amazed how close the two were in percentages, TBH…

Also, apparently I wandered through the freaking disaster zone completely oblivious to all the people in need of saving around me, lol. I feel so embarrassed.

The Last of Us Part 2 — Possibly the most affecting piece of media I've consumed in the last decade. And that includes The Last of Us original video game.

Gorgeous scenery, powerfully drawn characters, smooth and seamless gameplay mixed with essentially becoming part of the movie during cut scenes… there's really nothing to say except this is an absolute masterpiece.

Been LANning 'Portal Knights' with Suzie. It's a cartoon-style, Minecraft-adjacent little adventure game, but it's big fun to play together and bellow to each other across the room.

ANy of y'all WGBers have any interets in TTRPGs (D&D and Pathfinder are the most well-known, but I'm more interested in others)? I'm thinking of trying my hand at GMing. IDK. (TBH I flake out a lot, but, if there were legit interest, I would try to make sure I can commit). I'm near Seattle, so probably, like, weekend evenings, Pacific Time, would be when I'd run?

Been a while since I've done anything like that (D&D 3E), so I'd be a complete n00b at whatever you decide to play, but I'm down.

Timezone works for me too.

One of my brothers has a VR setup, so I got DIRT Rally 2.0.

Oh, wow, it's amazing. Completed a series of stages in an old Mini Cooper. Got 28th of 30th (only beat the two AIs who had car damage) at "70%" AI difficulty. Gotta git gud, still :D Oh, damn, it takes so much concentration/focus, too, because paying attention to the co-driver pace notes.

I'm actually able to keep the headset on for over an hour, and still feel fine (I guess a lot of people get vertigo from VRs :( )

You've tried VR, correct? For DIRT in particular? IIRC you were saying something about being less affected from VR vertigo due to your eye(s) :)

EDIT: I just remembered the random, little touch of, as I was doing one of the stages in the old Mini Cooper, I passed a competitor on the side of the road. I *assume* what happened was the AI that driving the car in the slot before me crashed, and the game faithfully reflected this, just as you'd see on an actual rally run. IDK why I find this so entertaining, but it is.

This isn't the end again, is it?

I got to make it through flight school tomorrow, just in time to make the party at the Two Hurricanes for Microsoft Flight Simulator.

Keep everything set simple, set weather real time system almost, and go.

Might make it, 40/60.

Alcohol distinctions seriously done and taken, but I'm still memorizing gauges at this point.

And on PC you need an X-Box joystick controller, regardless of admissions.

Now cranking 'Elastica: Stutter', see everyone tomorrow, crashes otherwise.

Cheers on hurricane drinks and planes.  ?!? View live if you ain't playing.

Yeah I bought a Rift S, which I regret somewhat now that FB are closing down non-FB access to stuff in 2023. Will have to remember to sell it before then…

But regardless, it's amazing how much it helped improve my driving in DR2. Makes a huge difference in ability to judge what's happening to the car!

And no, I don't get vertigo because only one eye. I've told other people to try that solution (close one eye) and it seems to alleviate vertigo for them too.

You definitely see occasional competitors crashon the side of the road in DR2! 😹

Fuckit. I'm doing "Eclipse Phase". Here's my wiki with the elevator pitch: https://boomzilla.io/wiki/index.php/Main_Page

It can be a kinda weird/hard-to-wrap-your-mind-around setting in some ways, but I love it.

I'm mostly hitting up friends on Facebook, but @s.smigiel (or anyone else interested), feel free to hit me up here, or wherever else on the net :)

Has anyone watched Crusader Kings 3 on Twitch. Holy crap is it beyond complex. I've been following the streamer Etalyx's game with quick jump cuts through his old streams (mostly because he's streamed like 100 hours of content so far and he's maybe 1/3rd done with a single game as near as I can tell). At any rate, it's crazy and amazing and all politics and intrigue and what religious system and political system you have. And who you ally yourself… and how you train your children… and what traits you try and imbue in them. Etc etc etc. Most complicated thing I think I've seen from a gaming perspective, lol.
